Just because you’re running a Linux operating system doesn’t mean that you won’t run into problems from time to time. It’s always good to have a backup plan, just in case a problem strikes. Perhaps a rare Linux virus will attack; perhaps you’ll be targeted by ransomware scammers. Your Linux installation might develop a bug; you could be upgrading your hard disk drive to a larger volume. Or your HDD might simply fail. Whatever the problem, if you have a backup of your Linux installation — or even the entire disk — then getting things back up and running again...
